Be Happy! Scrapbook Layout

 Hello and Happy Friday!

Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here with you today sharing a new layout that I did using some Prima Marketing goodies and some things from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop!

I pulled out my kit that was packed with the Prima Goodness and Decided immediately that I wanted to add a few things to create this layout.  I am a sucker for some burlap string, and the RRR shop has it in ALL COLORS!!  WHAT!!?? All I can say is YES PLEASE!!  Give me more! I decided to use use the Ivory, but was teetering on using the light blue as well. And have I mentioned the mulberry paper roses? Those are to DIE for! I use those beauties on everything! They add just the perfect touch to about any card, layout, or even home decor project. They have endless uses for us crafty Chicks!  Oh, and lone last thing from RRR...you know I can't forget to add the ribbon!  Well, in this case, I tossed in some 1.5 inch yellow netting to bring in some more pops of color.

Once everything was gathered, I began working on my layout. I had already printed the photos that I wanted to use, so It was pretty easy to assemble.
The biggest challenge I had was scaling BACK on the amount of flowers and other embellishments to use.  I am SO EXTRA as my kids call me, So of course, I am always adding EXTRA eye candy!! I mean...jut LOOK at these clusters! I totally could have added more! Actually, I was about to add some of my FAVORITE RRR shop find, the pearl resin hearts!  However, I only have a few left, so I opted to save them for JUST the RIGHT layout.

After gluing flowers and tucking the twine, I was ready to add the last minute paint splatters for some texture. and Finally, my final creation...and I am LOVING it!!
I love scrapbooking, and I am completely OBSESSED with the look that these things give to this outdoorsy themed layout!

Don't be fooled by the name!
Really Reasonable Ribbon  has so much more than just ribbon!
Go browse the shop and see for yourself!

I live in Ohio, directly on the path. people in our area(central Ohio) had been preparing for .months...glasses were advertised all over. There wasn't a motel or hotel room available in Columbus.People came from all over the country to experience it. There was a party atmosphere during the time prior to the event. I wa walking down to my friends to witness it, and people were walking all over to visit and party to wait for it. Cloudy weather had been forecasted, but It was a beautiful day!
We started watching the sky at about 1:30. Amazingly, the phases developed just exactly as predicted on the science sites that had described them. That aspect of it seemed to just blow our minds....that scientists could predict each little change..and where the dots would ebb and just how they would develop and then almost explode into the atmosphere. All of the schools were off the event, and as the changes took place, at the beginning, voices were loud and announced the changes....as it got darker,...things got quieter, until the actual eclipse. Then there was yelling , cheers, and fireworks. It did get cooler. It was both beautiful, and yet eerie. It was almost like a forewarning to take care of the planet

Now if you didn't win, don't worry!! We will be 'hopping' each month so you'll have another chance to win soon! We hope you stop by and visit our blog often.

Raggedy Sweethearts Pages

Hello crafty friends and Happy Wednesday to you all. Cheryl here today to share a 2 page layout I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Gorgeous Satin Ribbons in different sizes. Lately Ive been addicted to creating scrapbook pages again, and I love this one! I have photos below showing close ups as well.

So for my pages I chose to use the Satin Pink 1/4" and 5/8" ribbon to use. I also I used lots of scar-tap and foam squares to add my layers. The SVG's are from Marjorie Ann and I put them together , inked up and did their faces, aren't they sweet? Just love these pages!

Now below is a pocket I added a window to, for the soda sweet shop....hehehehe and a mini Raggedy sweetheart is peeping through the window, darling huh? I am so please and can't wait to add some photos to this page set.

I hope you enjoyed my post for today! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely day! Hugs to all, Cheryl W

Teal and Tan Tea Card with Mixed Earth Tone Flowers

Really Reasonable Ribbon-Mixed Earth Tone Flowers-Champagne Wrinkled Ribbon-Stamperia Brocante-Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Teal and Tan is one of my favorite color combos.  It's vintage, and rich and very restful on the eyes.  I've combined some gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon Champagne Wrinkled Ribbon with a lush cluster of Mixed Earth Tone Mulberry Flowers to adorn this shabby chic easel card.

If you are not familiar with Wrinkled Ribbon, I can tell  you it's one of my favorites to work with.  The narrower, 1/2" width and the light texture makes for beautiful bows.  Best of all, it comes in a rainbow of colors!  Champagne is one of my favorite shades because it can take on more of a pink hue when used with pink papers, or more of a beige hue, as you see here.

The neutral bouquet on this card features Mixed Earth Tone Magnolias, 35mm Trellis Roses, 20mm Open Roses, and Mixed Earth Tone Chrysanthemums.  I did not want the orangey center in the Chrysanthemum, so I just painted it with cream chalk paint.

The crocheted lace panel came from my stash.  I attached it to the card with a bit of 1/4" Scor-TapeFoam Tabs added to the back of the tea service die cuts add a lovely bit of dimension.

I hope I've shared some tips and ideas that you can use in your next crafty adventure.

Thanks for stopping by, friends!

Cheerio,

kathy

My Grace Is Sufficient For You

Welcome by again today, sweet blog friends.  I'm glad you're here because today I'm sharing a pretty card that I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon showcasing just a few of their (many) fabulous trims.  When we think about Really Reasonable Ribbon, of course ribbons and trims come to mind first.  That makes sense because RRR carries every ribbon, trim, twine, lace, etc. you can imagine.  Plus, they carry things like AdhesivesMulberry Flowers, Hair Accessories, Embellishments and SO much more.
My card uses black and dusty rose cardstocks for the base and then a layer of patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.  I used a stencil on the background, stamped the scripture using a Verve stamp, and then pressure embossed that white piece of cardstock with the Organic Linen Embossing Folder from Altenew.  Everything was attached with Scor-Tape, 3-D Foam Tabs or the hot glue gun.
I attached the sentiment piece using White 3-D Foam Tabs.  Next, I ran a length of Bay Leaf Seam Binding up the left-hand side card of my card next to a length of Dusty Rose Wrinkle Ribbon and some bundled Metallic Gold String.  Isn't that Metallic Gold String gorgeous?  I topped that with a beautiful Light Pink Tea Rose and two Moss Green Open Roses.  I also tucked in a pretty Green  Mulberry Leaf.
Be sure to stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for lots of great inspiration and up-to-date information about special sales and promotions.  You'll always find something wonderful when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks again for visiting today.

Blessings,
Karen
